Union Salon co-owner and creative director Anthony Crosfield joined us for August’s charity evening. He’s a highly admired and sought after hair stylist in Vancouver. Winner of Slice Network’s superstar hair challenge (season 2) gave him the platform and boost many dream of.

We had co-owner of Volution Salon join us for this months charity evening. She’s known to be one of the “coolest hairdressers” in the city. Besides being very talented at just that, she has a knack for understanding the power of a strong community.

The creative director of La Biosthetique Canada, Marc Riese showcased the looks of the “skatergirl” in live presentations at the downtown Suki’s location. Hairstyles were young, wearable, textured, cool, casual and full of movement!

This was an inspirational evening with the owner and creative director of supernova salon, Dana Lyseng. This evening was focused on performing the art of the consultation and colour design.

Aurelie and Antonio have combined over seventeen years of experience in the beauty industry, both working as senior stylists at Suki’s Salons. Aurelie showcased the history of hairdressing while Antonio showed us the future with a natural approach to hair cutting and styling.

Our guest artist for this months Suki’s Socials was Ian Daburn from Barber & Co. He’s well known in the city and has been in the industry for over twenty years! Not only is he known in Vancouver for his own successful salon, iDaburn - but he’s also known for his work at top UK salons. He shared his expertise in style, technique and product development.

We had Bumble and Bumble’s live educator from San Francisco, Nico as well as artist and owner of Rain Salon, Victor be a part of our socials event. Bumble and Bumble products were introduced and men’s grooming techniques were shown.

Winner of Canada’s best beauty talent in 2012 and owner of Hype Hair studio, Caylee Auge joined us for our charity night. She introduced “Lumina Spark” the next generation of personal and professional development tools supporting individuals and teams to gain greater self awareness, improve communication, teamwork and leadership skills.

We were lucky to kick 2015 off with a leader in our industry who has accomplished more than what most people even dream about… Omar Kanani shared his insider knowledge and guests were able to pick his brain where nothing was off the table. He shared his ideas and techniques and inspired the entire audience.
